The Great Depression is a five person collective, the members of which shuffle back and forth between Minneapolis, MN and Madison, WI. Todd Casper (voices, electric and acoustic guitar, piano) has a penchant for waltzes and you can often find the group hovering around the hypnotic and elegant 3/4 time signature. They have lulled ardent punk rockers at Seattle's Rock Candy. They have intrigued East Village hipsters at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. They have warmed up freezing teens at Minneapolis' 7th Street Entry and they have mesmerized stoned college students at The Orpheum Theatre in Madison. |
